2015 Mazda CX-9 Welcomes New Recreational Accessories Package

Although the brand has been busy developing new, SKYACTIV versions of the Mazda2 and Miata, and also creating a fresh entry for the compact-crossover segment in the CX-3, folks there haven't forgotten about the 2015 Mazda CX-9. Thus, the "elder statesman" of the roster gets a newly available Titanium Flash Mica exterior finish for the new model year, as well as a "recreational accessories package" that combines some of its top versatility enhancers into previously existing option bundles.

More specifically, the 2015 Mazda CX-9 Touring Technology Package, long with the 2015 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring Technology and Rear-seat Entertainment Packages, will add a roof rack, cross bars, a cargo net and a stainless steel bumper guard, all at no extra charge to owners.

The rest of the 2015 Mazda CX-9 carries over unchanged, with highlights including:

• MSRPs that open at $29,985, the same starting price as for the 2014 model
• A 3.7-liter V6 engine that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and provides 273 hp, 270 lb.-ft. of torque, EPA grades of 17 mpg city/24 mpg highway/19 mpg combined, a 3,500-lb. max tow rating, and available all-wheel drive
• Available safety measures such as a rearview camera, blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert
• Infotainment features like navigation, Bose audio, Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming, a rear-seat DVD system with 9-inch screen, SMS text-messaging assistance, a USB port, and Pandora Internet radio interface
• Three-row seating for seven, with an available heated front row and eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat
