Soul Earns Second Strategic Vision Honor of the Year

The 2015 Kia Soul is now a reigning champion in both of Strategic Vision's 2014 industry rankings, with the funky compact wagon recently adding a segment win in the Total Value Index (TVI) to its previous victory in the Total Quality Index (TQI). The TQI honor was presented this summer and relies on a "holistic measure that encompasses positive and negative product experiences"; the TVI combines data regarding fuel-economy, pricing, expected reliability and similar factors with residual-value information from the experts at ALG.

Noted Christopher Chaney, senior vice president of Strategic Vision: “If you take the Kia Soul into consideration, it was the Total Quality leader in another study and now reveals a segment leading score in Total Value. Kia Soul includes fresh attractive styling, great quality and MPG, with innovative features that are generating love among its owners. Ultimately this love translates into loyalty and advocacy, and will drive sales.”

The numbers for the 2015 Kia Soul definitely support that finding, too. Soul sales were up by 27.5 percent through the end of the September, with the 2014 model accounting for most of the volume, and in September, with the 2015 Kia Soul arriving in dealerships, demand shot up by 45.6 percent. In terms of quantity, the 2015 Kia Soul helped deliver 10,802 units in September alone, and year-to-date volume had reached 115,579 units by the end of that month.
