The 2015 Hyundai Tucson is on sale now at dealerships across the country, showcasing a high-value MSRP of $21,500. That new starting point is $50 higher than for the 2014 entry model, and while the bump in cost doesn't bring a bump in features, owners still enjoy a fair number of upscale cues, both inside and out.
Consider: The exterior of the 2015 Hyundai Tucson is highlighted by LED illumination for both the front accent lights and rear brake lights, the latter of which are integrated into a sporty rear spoiler. The Tucson also ridges on standard 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and wears body-color exterior trim, too. Then, the cabin of the 2015 Hyundai Tucson features standard Bluetooth technology—for both hands-free calling and audio streaming—as well as a powerful 160-watt standard sound system with USB/aux inputs.
The brand also offers a fresh way to build on that model with a specially configured "Popular Equipment Package" for the 2015 Hyundai Tucson GLS. Adding $750 to the bottom line of the Tucson, the setup provides:
Finally, the 2015 Hyundai Tucson, at the top of the range, benefits from newly standard LED taillights.
All else carries over from the past model year for Tucson, including two engine choices. Both are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, with the standard powertrain adding a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 164 hp, 151 lb.-ft. of torque and an EPA line of 23 mpg city/29 mpg highway/25 mpg combined. The other option is a four-cylinder unit with more displacement (2.4 liters), more power (182 hp/177 lb.-ft. of torque) and a bit less in the way of fuel efficiency (at 21/28/24). All-wheel drive is available with both powertrains.
