Nine-Speed Automatic Tops The List Of Changes
Even though the Range Rover Evoque has been on sale for the past year or so, Land Rover has a list of changes coming for the 2014 model year.
The big news for the 2014 Evoque is the addition of a ZF nine-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is expected to improve the fuel economy of the 2.0L turbo-four engine by eleven percent. The Evoque will also get a new Active Driveline system. The system works by operating in front-wheel drive to help increase fuel economy. If a need for greater traction arises, the system connects the rear-wheels to provide all-wheel drive.
Other items for the 2014 Evoque include a brake-based torque-vectoring system and a number of safety systems from the new Range Rover Sport.
The 2014 Range Rover Evoque makes its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
