Tim Smith, an engineer with Ford’s SVT performance division, joined Autobytel for a conversation about the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST. This Autobytel video review is a walkaround of the Ford compact hatchback, highlighting the extra features that make the Fiesta ST more fun than the base model Fiesta. An exclusive orange exterior finish was previously used on the Ford Raptor, so the color is an immediate cue that there is something different about the Fiesta ST. As Tim Smith points out in this video, styling cues such as an upper hatch spoiler, a lower rear diffuser, and dual exhaust tips all give the back of the Fiesta ST a sporty and playful vibe.
These upgrades lend the Ford Fiesta ST a more aggressive profile than the base model of the Ford Fiesta, and this design wraps around to the unique front fascia. Sport tires wrap around an exclusive 17-inch alloy wheel design. Upgraded suspension components provide a stiffer ride and improved handling. Rear disc brakes, instead of the regular Fiesta’s drum brakes, provide additional stopping capability to tame the power of Ford’s 1.6-liter EcoBoost drivetrain and manual six-speed transmission. Optional Recaro seats make the driver as comfortable as possible for a fun and exciting ride.
Join Tim Smith of Ford SVT, and Autobytel, for more insider details about the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST.
