Combining concept car good looks, with an extraordinary degree of speed and agility, the 2014 Cadillac CTS-V is the homegrown version of the ultra high performance European sports coupe. One of the more extreme examples of Cadillac’s Art & Science design language, the 2014 Cadillac CTS-V has an eye-arresting shape to go along with its exceptional performance potential. Powering the Cadillac is a 556-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8, which also produces 551 ft-lbs of torque. The rear-wheel drive coupe uses a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment. A six speed automatic transmission is optional. While this is one of the fastest American cars ever brought to market, it is also a Cadillac, so its content level is exceedingly high. Among its available features are a pair of Recaro sports seats, simulated suede trim for the steering wheel and shift knob, navigation with real-time traffic and weather updates, a cabin odor filtration system, digital music storage, and of course Bluetooth connectivity. Safety features include a rearview camera, a rear parking sensor array, blind spot monitoring, a full complement of airbags, and OnStar’s suite of service. These include automatic crash notification, stolen vehicle location and intervention, and on demand roadside assistance.
