Pubic Welcomed at Brand's 'Driven by Passion' Tour
With the brand's crossovers finding some impressive recent sales success, the 2014 Acura RLX will attempt to keep the ol' momentum train going as the engine of the Acura "Driven by Passion" tour. Now, much like the RLX itself, the road trip has been keeping a low profile up to this point, already making under-the-radar stops in California, Arizona and Texas. But with spring break upon us, and the tour currently in Florida, Acura is looking to take advantage of the crowds to build awareness for its all-new flagship.
As a result, those visiting Driven by Passion events will enjoy an "immersive" look at the 2014 Acura roster, including the ability to test drive the 2014 Acura RLX for themselves. Which should be plenty fun, since the car boasts a high-powered V6 powerplant that makes 310 hp and 272 lb.-ft. of torque, a six-speed automatic with Acura's Sequential SportShift paddles and Grade Logic Control, and the latest iterations of the brand's exclusive handling technologies—Super Handling All Wheel Drive and Precision All Wheel Steer.
Along with the ride-and-drive experience, the Driven by Passion tour also will be showcasing support for local organizations that "reflect cultural passion points ... embodying the luxury, prestige and excitement of the Acura brand." The tour is scheduled to wrap up next month in Chicago, but not before first visiting:

The 2014 Acura RLX is at dealerships now with an MSRP that starts at $48,450, and will soon be joined by the 2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid. Designed to provide the power of a traditional V8 and the fuel-economy of a four-cylinder engine, the propulsion system for the RLX hybrid will be a new three-motor setup that enables electrically enhanced all-wheel drive, features the brand’s first proprietary seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and serves up EPA grades that, at this stage, are still TBD.
