The Lexus LX 570 is a full-size luxury SUV that shares its platform with the vaunted Toyota Land Cruiser. This ensures that the Lexus LX 570 provides a high level of off-road capability to go with its plush interior, comfy ride, and eight passenger seating. The Lexus sport-utility vehicle is also a very safe option, as it comes with forward airbags, seat-mounted side airbags for those riding up front, side curtain airbags, and even front knee airbags. Electronic stability control and traction control are also standard.
The Lexus LX 570 is motivated by a 5.7-liter V-8 engine that is yoked to a full-time four-wheel drive system by way of a six-speed automatic transmission. This unit is capable of producing 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque, and fuel mileage checks in at 12-mpg in stop and go driving and 17-mpg on the highway.
The Lexus LX 570 comes in a single, well-equipped base trim that retails for an MSRP of $80,930. The LX 570 comes with an adaptive suspension system, adaptive HID headlights, heated leather seats, a sunroof, four zones of automatic cruise control, 20-inch rims, a power liftgate, a reclining second row seat, a navigation system that responds to voice commands, the Lexus Enform system, Bluetooth connectivity, and a CD player with an iPod interface. The LX can be upgraded via the judicious selection of the Luxury package, which includes a heated steering wheel, heated second row seats and a cooling function for the first two positions, and nicer leather upholstery all around. It is also possible to equip the SUV with adaptive cruise control, an automated parking system, an upgraded stereo, and a rear seat entertainment system.
A list of cars similar to the LX570 includes the 2012 Infiniti QX56, 2013 Cadillac Escalade and 2013 Mercedes Benz GL550.
