2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe: Video Road Test & Review

The Hyundai Elantra Coupe offers compact buyers a chance to sample a sportier and more stylish version of the popular Elantra sedan.  The Hyundai Elantra Coupe can seat five passengers, provides the same wheelbase as the sedan, and offers safety equipment that includes forward airbags for both front passengers, seat-mounted side curtain airbags up front and out back, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, and traction control.

The Hyundai Elantra Coupe is motivated by a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque, figures that are identical to the unit found in the Elantra sedan.  Buyers can select between either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox, and fuel mileage for the Elantra Coupe is rated at 29-mpg in stop and go driving and 40-mpg on the highway.

The Hyundai Elantra Coupe's entry-level GS trim (MSRP $17,445) comes with heated seats, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, satellite radio, tinted windows, and 16-inch wheels.  Upgrading to the Elantra Coupe SE (MSRP $19,745) introduces a sunroof, a rear spoiler, 17-inch rims, leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.  Opting for the Technology package provides drivers with a navigation system, dual automatic climate control, a rearview camera, and a push button starter.
