2013 Ford Taurus SHO: Video Road Test & Review

The Ford Taurus SHO is the high performance edition of the domestic automaker's largest family sedan.  The Ford Taurus SHO is a link back to the vehicle of the same name last produced in the 1990s, and it aims to offer a higher level of handling, acceleration, and style than the standard version of the Taurus.  Safety features found on the SHO include side curtain airbags, seat-mounted front side airbags, forward airbags, electronic stability control and traction control, and a rearview camera.

The Ford Taurus SHO (MSRP $39,200) is offered exclusively with a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 that is matched with a paddle-shifted, six-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.  This motor is tuned to provide 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, and it offers fuel mileage of 17-mpg in stop and go driving and 25-mpg on the highway.

Standard equipment for the Ford Taurus SHO includes dual automatic climate control, exclusive SHO badging on the interior and exterior, HID headlights, the MyKey parental control, the Ford SYNC vehicle interface, the MyFord Touch system, and heated leather seats.  The vehicle can also be had with the SHO Performance package, which includes quicker steering, a stiffer suspension system, a more aggressive final drive gear ratio, 20-inch rims, the ability to completely turn off stability control, and track-ready brake pads.
