The Subaru Legacy is a four door full size sedan that is available with everything from a fuel sipping four cylinder to a turbocharged power plant and even a big flat six depending on what suits your fancy, and being a Subaru, it comes with symmetrical all wheel drive. The Japanese automaker offers the Legacy 2.5i in base, Premium and Limited trims, the 2.5GT Limited that comes with a turbo as well as the Legacy 3.6R in standard, Premium and Limited trim levels.
The entry level Subaru Legacy 2.5i starts out at $19,995 and is powered by a 2.5 Liter naturally aspirated four cylinder boxer engine that produces 170 HP being channeled through either a six speed manual or an automatic continuously variable transmission and returns an estimated 23 MPG in the city and as much as 31 MPG on the highway. The $21,295 Legacy 2.5i Premium gets upgraded with a 10 way power adjustable drivers seat, a leather wrapped steering wheel and a set of aluminum alloys with a moon roof available as an option. The Legacy 2.5i Limited gets the Lineartronic CVT standard, heated leather seating up front and a Harman Kardon sound system starting at $25,595.
The Legacy 2.5GT Limited starts at $31,595 and is powered by a turbocharged 2.5 Liter boxer engine that cranks out 265 HP and returns an estimated 18 MPG in the city and up to 25 MPG on the highway. Being a Limited model, the 2.5GT benefits from all the upscale treatments that Subaru has to offer, like leather and the Harman Kardon premium stereo.
The base Legacy 3.6R starts out at $25,095 powered by a 3.6 Liter flat six cylinder engine that produces a total of 256 HP being channeled through a five speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and is good for an estimated 18 MPG around town and 25 MPG on the highway, while riding on a set of 17 inch ten spoke alloys. The Legacy 3.6 R Premium gets heated front buckets, while the driver’s is power adjustable, a leather wrapped steering wheel and an available moon roof for $26,295. The top of the line Legacy 3.6R Limited gets upgraded with leather, a Harman Kardon sound system and wood grain pattern trim to dress up the interior, starting at $28,595.
