The Nissan Altima is a four door five passenger midsize sedan that is offered with either a gas sipping four banger or a mighty V6, connected to a fuel saving continuously variable transmission. The entry level Altima 2.5 S starts at $20,550 and is equipped with a 2.5 Liter four cylinder engine that makes 175 HP and 180 lb-ft of torque and returns an estimated 23 MPG in the city and up to 32 MPG on the highway. The base Altima 2.5 S comes well equipped with six standard airbags, keyless entry with push button starter, power accessories and a set of 16 inch steel wheels.
The next level Nissan is the Altima 2.5 S, and includes Nissan’s Intelligent Key as well as a six speaker AM/FM/CD stereo with auxiliary input for $22,710. Celebrating 20 years of Altima excellence, the Japanese automaker is offering the special edition $23,660 2.5 S with 20th Anniversary Package that bundles a set of 16 inch aluminum alloys along with a pair of fog lights and a rear spoiler as well as Bluetooth wireless hands free connectivity and a leather wrapped steering wheel with one touch power windows to create a very well equipped Altima at very affordable price. The more luxurious Altima 2.5 S with 2.5 SL Package upgrades the upholstery to leather and adds a leather wrapped shift knob as well, starting at $26,890.
The top of the line, hot rod, Altima 3.5 SR gets a new heart in the form of a 3.5 Liter V6 that produces 270 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque that is good for an estimated 20 MPG in the city and as much as 27 MPG on the highway, but starting at $25,570 owners will also get a set of stylish 17 inch wheels housing a sport tuned suspension, making the 3.5 SR one affordably attractive sport sedan.
