The Buick Verano is a new compact sedan from General Motors that is designed to challenge Japanese competitors for dominance in the entry-level luxury market.  The four-door Buick Verano is comfortable, quiet and elegantly styled, and it makes use of an appealingly low pricing strategy to help lure potential buyers into showrooms.  The Verano also comes with safety features such as forward airbags, seat-mounted side airbags for passengers front and rear, knee airbags for those riding in the first two positions, and side curtain airbags, along with standard electronic stability control and traction control.

The Buick Verano is available with a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that develops 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque, sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.  Fuel mileage for the compact premium sedan shows as 21-mpg in city driving and 31-mpg on the highway.

The base Buick Verano retails for an MSRP of $22,585 and brings with it features such as dual automatic climate control, an LCD touchscreen interface for the vehicle's multimedia and communications features (managed by the Intellilink system), Bluetooth connectivity, power windows and door locks, and cloth seats.  Moving up to the Convenience Group trim (MSRP $24,670) introduces parking assistance, power adjustments for the driver's seat, and heated outside mirrors, while the Leather Group (MSRP $25,965) includes heated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and ignition, and a louder stereo system.

A list of cars similar to the Verano include the 2013 Volkswagen CC andthe 2013 Acura ILX.
